Your haven is to be found in the malaria free climate of the Eastern Cape, South Africa. With an astonishing variety of fauna and flora, undulating mountainous terrain and vast open spaces, the area is renowned as a nature lover’s paradise. Here you will find 49 species of game,
153 species of birds and more than 400 plant species, including some 30 species of trees.Our exclusive 3000 hectare game ranch and lodge is situated in the heart of this breathtaking landscape, 200km north of the modern city of Port Elizabeth and 80km south of Cradock, near Cookhouse.
The 140 year old Lodge has been superbly resorted and refurbished to its original splendor with high Yellowwood ceiling, Oregon pine floors and spacious rooms providing a stately, yet homely feeling. The elegantly furnished main lounge boasts satellite TV while the second lounge sports a magnificent fireplace that provides a cozy retreat on winter nights.

The large well-equipped farmhouse kitchen, with a gas and Agga stove, is the place where everybody congregates and shares their wildlife experiences. The attractive dining room with specially designed Outeniqua Yellowwood and Ironwood furniture seats 16 people.
The indoor pub is continually stocked and guarantees to provide many a jovial evening. This quiet environment is the ideal setting for a conference without disturbance where equipment such as an overhead projector and flipchart are provided, as well as access to fax and internet facilities while you are in cellphone range.
Each of the 5 elegant double bedrooms is well furnished with en-suite bathroom and toilet facilities. For the ultimate luxury the main bedroom even has its own Jacuzzi and fireplace. A safe is also provided in each room for security purposes.

The originally designed reed and stone open air Lapa with log fire provides the perfect surroundings to experience a typical South African braai or a chance to enjoy the clarity of the stars in this unpolluted sky while listening to the sounds of the night. Activities on the Ranch include hiking, game and night drives, 4×4 routes, ideal mountain biking terrain, photography and horse riding.
Use the Ranch as a base to visit the Addo Elephant Park, the Mountain Zebra Park and the Crocodile farm, and explore the area with its places of historical interests. You can also spend your days bronzing your body in the warm South African sky next to our clear pool.

Management

We have a competent management team of Owen and Riana on the ranch who will ensure your comfortable stay. Dinner, bed and breakfast, as well as a daily game drive are included in the package. All this can be yours exclusively for a period of your choice.
